Initiatives

Citizen Voices for Fair Elections

Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) and USAID

SCI has implemented four cycles of the Citizen Voice Project. The project focused on strengthening citizen voices for free, fair, and peaceful elections in Pakistan. Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) and USAID provided financial and technical assistance for this project.

Strengthening The Electoral Process

United Nations Development Program

SCI has completed three cycles of this project. The project aimed to mobilize women and young girls as voters, facilitate their registration, raise awareness, and conduct training workshops in collaboration with the election commission. For this project, SCI received financial and technical assistance from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA)

Gender Equity Program Funded

The Aurat Foundation and USAID

This project was designed to implement an advocacy campaign for the allocation and rehabilitation of spaces at district courts that are friendly to women and girls. The Aurat Foundation and USAID provided financial and technical assistance for this project.

Citizen Voices for Fair Elections

Milk Value Chain for Young Farmers

The International Organization for Migrants (IOM)

The primary focus of this project was to support the livelihood development of young farmers. This was achieved through farmer field education, enterprise and livestock development training, awareness campaigns, market linkage development, and networking with government departments. The International Organization for Migrants (IOM) provided financial and technical assistance for this project.

Training of Local Council Associations

The Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment (DTCE)

The main focus of this project was to build the capacity of newly elected local government representatives and strengthen their interaction and linkages with the public for the development agenda. The Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment (DTCE) provided financial and technical assistance for this project.

Changing Lives by Preventing Child Marriages

The READ Foundation UK

SCI has secured a three-year project. Primary goal of this project is to create enabling environment for girls so that they are enjoying their rights; their lives are transformed through improved quality public education, reduction in child marriages, empowerment, and better livelihood. This project is funded by The READ Foundation UK and will be implemented in Tharparker, Sindh.
